TOONE & TOWNSEND precision guitar and bass tuning systems are available in a wide range of anodized color options.
Anodizing causes the aluminum or titanium surface to harden, increasing resistance to wear, abrasion and corrosion. This process is often used on rock climbing equipment, surgical implements, bicycle and aircraft components.
Anodizing is non-hazardous and does not produce dangerous byproducts harmful to human health. Environmental impact from anodizing is greatly reduced compared to chrome, black or gold plating traditionally found on musical instruments. Much more durable than powder coating or paint, an anodized finish will maintain organic luster as it ages with time and use.
